Anyone know why there are three sets of these jabs? And also, if ds has had the first lot without bad side-effects, is he likely to be Ok with the others?

I think they are boosters arent they? Your ds shouldn't have side effects if he was okay the first time. The jabs aren't effective until you've had the top-ups (I think!).

Hi dinny,

As vict17 says - you need all three to ensure total immunity to what they're immunising against.

My ds was fine after all three. I gave Calpol 30mins before each appointment (which my surgery advised)

Hi dinny,

DD had a really bad effect with her first jab but was absolutly fine with the others. Like amanda says, i gave calpol 30 mins before, and then every 4 hours untill she went to bed.
