Robotic excision surgery, and coming out of chemical menopause?

I feel this may be a very niche topic but maybe there is someone out there!

I am currently on a waiting list for robotic excision surgery for deep infiltrating endometriosis. Has anyone had this surgery, and how did you get on with your recovery?

Unfortunately in my area they make you go into chemical menopause before you’re allowed the surgery. I have read that it can take a very long time for ovulation/periods to start up again after the injection out of your system, and that even once your cycle does return your ovarian function is never as good as it was before. Sad Again, if anyone has come off Prostap and successfully been able to TTC, I would love to hear about it. And how long it took for your cycle to resume?

Thank you.

Sorry to hear. I have no experience but assume that they have a plan from surgery or scans? Have you talked about concerns with ovarian reserve?

There are a couple of chemical menopause / prostrap groups on Facebook

I've had prostap before surgery, no issues at all. Periods started straight back afterwards. This was taken before a robotic myomectomy which isn't available on the NHS and had an excellent recovery!
