Anyone help with blood results particularly hormone?

I had a private blood test done as I haven't been feeling right for a while and wanted to get some things checked that the GPI know wouldn't do. I have had the results and wondered if anyone could help shed any light? Before anyone says, yes I have a GP appointment booked but it is ages away and I would like to try to understand them and check I'm just worrying about nothing?

It says:Your female hormone, Oestradiol, falls below the normal range in all menstrual cycle phases, whilst your LH value is within the normal range for the follicular and luteal phases. Your FSH value falls within the normal range in the follicular and mid-cycle phases (see reference ranges below).

Follicular Stimulating Hormone (FSH) - in mIU/mL Follicular Phase 3.03 – 8.08 Mid-cycle Phase 2.55 – 16.69 Luteal Phase 1.38 – 5.47 Post - menopausal 26.72 – 133.41 Luteinizing Hormone (LH) - in mIU/mL Follicular Phase 1.9 – 12.5 Mid-cycle Phase 8.7 – 76.3 Luteal Phase 0.5 – 16.9 Post - menopausal 15.9 - 54 Oestradiol - in pmol/L Follicular Phase 77 - 921 Mid-Cycle Phase 139 - 238
Luteal Phase 77 - 1145 Postmenopausal not on HRT <36.7 - 103

My calcium levels are high but the examples given for this I don't come under...

This but again I don;t fit the things listed: Your haematocrit level is high. This is called polycythaemia and the commonest causes are not drinking enough water, high blood pressure, smoking, stress or alcohol.

Lastly this: Your red blood cell test (MCHC) is lower than normal, possibly suggesting an underlying problem with your red blood cells, but it can also be due to inflammation.
Does that mean I am anemic?
Haematocrit (HCT) 0.5 L/L 0.35 - 0.45 H
Mean Cell Haemoglobin Concentration (MCHC) 307 g/L 310 - 365 L
Iron 27 umol/L 9 - 30 Total Iron Binding Capacity 62 umol/L 41 - 77 Unsaturated Iron Binding Capacity 35 umol/L 13 - 56 Ferritin 42 ng/mL 10 - 204

If anyone can shed any light at all I'd be grateful? I eat healthy, exercise, healthy weight, eat well and drink predominantly water other than maybe a drink or two at a weekend. The hormone one especially I don't understand.

If it makes a difference to the hormone thing I am on the progesterone only pill so I don't have periods and no symptoms of any issues? FSH and LH are ok?

With regards to your female sex hormones, blood tests are pretty meaningless as all they really show a snapshot at the time the blood was taken. Hormones are constantly in flux, not only monthly, but daily too. What I would say is that if your FSH level is within normal range, then you can probably strike perimenopause of the list of why you don't feel right.

Apart from not feeling right, are you have any other issues? Am trying to figure out why you didn't talk to your GP first and let them initiate getting bloods taken if they were concerned.

If you don't take vitamin D, that is always worth taking, more so given our lack of summer this year.

the person who requested/authorised the bloods should explain the results to you especially if that's all they've all they've given you. As usual, context is vital in interpreting any test results (they should be able to advise about the hormone results in the context of being on the POP) . If this is a DIY capillary sample then the haematocrit may not accurate, but even if it is accurate, you need the rest of the FBC to comment on anaemia. It's odd to have just given a calcium result but no albumin/bone profile. You may find you'd have been better off spending the money on something else.

Thanks for replying. I do take vitamin d already but that wasn’t that high. The level was 85 and the range is 50-200.

the bloods are taken by a pharmacy, they offer lots of different ones. A doctor reads them but you don’t get an appointment with them, they advise of any abnormalities and then advise you to see your GP with the results so I can’t get any response about them especially as they don’t have access to my medical records. I couldn’t get an appointment at the GP, I went to minor injuries about my foot a little while ago and they said I needed to go to my GP to check at inflammability to look at my joints. I couldn’t get an appointment for ages and because I haven’t felt right for the last few weeks and I wanted my blood pressure checking (it’s always low end of normal) I had them done there.
