Hi all.

Since having my daughter I've had a load of issues, eczema, blistering eczema etc etc. which is fine I can handle.

But since November ish, I've been waking up to swollen eyelids, very dry and swollen to the point that my eyes are SHUT.

It's been getting me down and I've just recently had a month with no issues... prior I'd been to doctors and got hayfever tablets and eye drops, worked for a bit and just like mum brain, I'd forgot sometimes and then I forgot about it and it seemed to have gotten better...

My daughter was getting up during the night too at this "break" stage.

The last couple of days, eyes swollen again. The only thing that's changed is I put the heating on low a couple hours before bed, and my daughter slept through the night which meant I got longer sleep....

So back to my eyes... it's eyelid, swollen, red, very dry... I'm pale so it's like I've had rounds with Tyson when I wake up... I've thought and thought about what this could be, been to the doctors and no answers, I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Has anyone got any hints and tips? Eye drops or anything they'd recommend... it's getting me down cause I go out to take my daughter out and I look awful and feel people are genuinely staring at me... I feel mentally drained with trying to figure out what the hell is going on🙁

Thank you xx

Hi, Sorry for the delayed reply, I have only just seen your post. I hope you have are feeling better. I have experienced a similar problem so thought I would share my solution with you and anyone else it might be useful to. My skin rash and swollen eyes were caused by modern laundry products. I have had to switch to an eco product that is fragrance free. this has completely solved my issues. I have since found out that most laundry products contain a cocktail of untested fragrance chemicals, many of which are thought to be toxic. I have to avoid them completely especially the extreme scent boost varieties that can trigger me when worn by other people. This seems like a growing problem that is not taken seriously by the medical profession as it is not classed as an allergy. Hope this helps someone who not getting any help from medics.
