Astigmatism?

I went for a eye test last week because I'm on roaccutane which can effect your eyes, the optician said there was no problem with my eyes other than that I have astigmatism and that I could benefit from wearing glasses when I'm looking at screens. I didn't bother getting any because I'd just had a free eye test and didn't really wanna spend £50 on glasses. Also didn't think it necessary as I have no issues with my vision. But as I'm sat here scrolling through Mumsnet my eyes are getting sore and I'm finding it hard to focus on the text.. but maybe that's just because the tablets I'm on make my eyes dry.

Anyone else have this? I think it's pretty common.

I have astigmatism. My eyesight is fine but my eyes get very tired and hurt when reading, concentrating or looking at screens. Glasses help a huge amount. I only wear them for these things I don't need them outside. Astigmatism can also make your eyes more sensitive to light, some lenses with light filters can with this too. I would get the glasses if they have been recommended.

@Blossomandbee Must admit I thought maybe they were just tryna get some ££ out of me but I still have my prescription so I think I'll go back and get some. Thank you.

If you only need them for occasional or indoor use I would just get the cheapest frames and give them a try. Or try one of the online places you can get frames cheap if you have your prescription
