Hi there, I need some help to decide if I should be doing surgery or not? Please share your opinion based on you experience and knowledge. I'm 37 years old. I found out I have prolapse when I was 11 weeks pregnant with my second child last year. I have uterine prolapse means my cervix is lower down and its slightly outside lowered of my vigina. They have put me a pessery in and its working almost 80% to 90% percent. NHS romford hospital also offering me a surgery and right now I'm thinking about it while I'm waiting for my next appointment with doctor to discuss different options for surgery. They gave me surgery leaflets to read and it scares me more and making me think I would rather be without the surgery. Please let me know what should I do? Any of you had similar experience or had surgery done and was it successful?? Thanks x

I just managed with the pessary ring for many years, but I was older than you. Eventually after menopause I didn't need the pessary ring, the uterus must have become less heavy and somehow returned to position of its own accord.

However you are younger and may not want to have a series of pessary rings long term.
