My tooth is absolutly wrecked, I made an appointment when I was pregnant and they said I was supposed to go back after DS was born to get it taken out.

DS is 20 months old now

I got really abd tootache months ago and was going to make an appointment but got some toothfill stuff from the chemist in the meanwhile. After I filled it with the temporary putty it was fine! Has been until about 30 mins ago when it just started really bad.

Cant drive so cant get any painkillers, putty or anbesol ect...

clove oil!

i feel your pain.

if i won the lotto, the first thing i'd do is have all my remaining, filled the max and drilled to the max molars removed and replaced with implants so i wouldn't have to be bothered by the fuckers again.

Disenchanted · 24/02/2008 20:20

What would happen if i tried to pull it out?

Would i bleed alot?

YES!

DON'T TRY IT!

because when the dentist pulls it out, even after she numbs you out, you still feel a lot of pulling and like she's breaking it up first - i've only had molars removed. i think she also kills off the nerve.

and it hurts afterwards and bleeds.

it takes time to heal, i know my mother couldn't have her implants until 6 months after the removal - well, two she had right away because she already had a bridge in place and the teeth were long gone.

theboob · 24/02/2008 20:24

it would hurt alot ,go next door and ask to borrow painkillers

Disenchanted · 24/02/2008 20:28

OK, i wont do that!

Sending DH to my mums now for some!

TheMadHouse · 24/02/2008 20:52

Oh can I join you. I grind my teeth and have pulled out a filling earlier in the week, the pain for the last three nights has been almost intolerable, but I am scared of dentists and can not even make that call.

I went to boots and got some filling, but ground it out again [hmmm]

theboob · 24/02/2008 21:07

i have a very bad fear of the dentist ,have been kicked out of a few becaues they cant stand me,i have found a fab new dentist who treated me like a 2 year old(just what i needed)and i have finally had everything done ,at last check up i got told to come back in 6 months first time that has happend in my life ,go for it

southeastastra · 24/02/2008 21:16

rinse with really hot salt water, and take ibuprofen, i've had tooth out recently so feel your pain

TheMadHouse · 24/02/2008 21:40

DH has made an appoinment for the whole family at a new dentists (we moved 300 miles last year) in April, earlierst they had - NHS

I am going to get him to try and get me an emergency appointment tomorrow. I know I am a wimp, I am tacking my other anxieties, but this one is much harder. I remember what it is like to have teetth out by Gas and it scares me silly - full on panic attcks.
