My son who is 3 is booked in to have the above operation in 3 weeks time and wanting to hear some success stories from others.

I feel it's alot to put him through and worried about how the recovery is going to be. Have blocked out 2 weeks in the diary for the recovery period.

He had his adenoids done at 18months but consultant seems to think they have grown back.

Reason for operation is sleep apnea, constant nasal congestion, glue ear and hearing loss.

Tell me good stories, advice anything to help us through ☺️

Thank you everyone, I did have a look at the Instagram page suggested and spent the evening reading it all so thank you.

Did you see an improvement in your child @Hartleyhare1206 ? My son had awful sleep apnea 3 weeks ago, 15 seconds of no breathing throughout the night - and now he seems abit better!

probably too soon for me to declare whether it’s been a success or not as she had it done at the end of the winter so less germs around meaning less infections etc. winter will definitely be the test for us.
I can tell you that her sleep is much quieter snoring wise and she doesn’t appear to be having apnoea episodes anymore - we think it was the humungous tonsils causing those and when I check on her at night she is so much improved

Hi I’m new on here, I’m not sure if I’m posting a new thread? (That’s what I’m trying to do) if I’ve not can you tell me how I do please? I don’t mean to jump on someone else’s thread and change the subject!!

my son is due to have a cautery turbinate surgery (nasal) and I wanted to know what the recover was like to what the doctors say.

thank you
