Liver abdomen ultra sound.

had an ultrasound on my abdomen today due to elevated liver enzymes picked up on blood test. No other symptoms.
He was silent for most of the scan but to his assistant he said two numbers at two points when he was around my liver 1.3 and I didn't catch the rest. When I asked what they meant he said he can't say and needs to review the results. Obviously this has now scarred me as the mind jumps to worst case. Any ideas what numbers mean

They'll just be standard measurements. Most organs, ducts, internal structures have a given range of normal sizing, but you need to measure things to check..

Don't panic; in every set of blood results I see at least one is highlighted in red as being outside the expected range. They often mean nothing, an 'incidental' finding that rights itself.

Thanks it just worried me because when I asked out of general interest at the end of the ultrasound. He said he couldn't tell me. When I've shown interest before on other tests they always explain. It helps with my over inquisitive mind.

My blood test results were

Alakaline phosphate level 285 u/l when fasting original was 344Alanine aminotransferase level 297 u/l when fasting was 437
Total Bilrudim 33 umol/l when fasting was 15 before.

Which my GP said were very concerning, but when I did a bit of research caveated not a medical professional yes they are high but not very very worrying as my GP said.

The sonographer who does the test will always say that, they're not supposed to give the results - they send it back to your doctor who can interpret them with the history/bloods etc.

Had exactly the same phrase on a completely clear ultrasound of my hand.

Hope all is ok!

Yes. You shouldn't give any result to a patient unless you can interpret that.

What does it mean? Is it of concern? Should you be concerned? What might you do to mitigate against it? Is there treatment? What are the options?

All waaaay beyond the remit, and pay-grade- of a sonographer.
