time for a walk I think. She's probably exhausted. I know that it's a pain, but it's what I do when the twins are going for it. Not sure what else to suggest. If the walk doesn't work then keep bumping until someone with better advice comes on. The fresh air should help knock her out. Smile

i had her out for a walk just before i posted... still think another one will do the trick?

If she was happy on the walk then yes. Of course if she hadn't had calpol when you walked before then maybe she may not have been happy. Sorry, confusing aren't I?

Try the walk again. Sometimes I stay out for quite a while, if only to enjoy the peace. hth Smile

The calpol should be working by now. How is she now?
If it's ear ache try a warm hot water bottle under a blanket against her ear. I put it against my arm then put the blanket over it with baby against it and then rock to sleep.

Hope she's better soon.

going to see if she will go to sleep.... wish me luck!

She has finally cried herself to sleep - im such a bad mummy! Gonna try and get my own head down for a bit - its been one of those days and DH has just rung to say not to expect him before 10.30pm! I doubt ill be awake to see him tonight!!!

You're not a bad mummy at all - sorry to hear you've had a bad afternoon. It is very stressful when a baby cries and won't stop. Have you tried putting a CD on? I did that with both of mine and it seemed to work - I used to find that certain songs were effective - Penny Lane was one.

Gla everything is better now Pebbles. Sorry I didn't stick around-my two needed feeding!
I really feel for you.Ds cried EVERY night from midnight until 6 in the morning for 7 weeks. It was terrible, thought I was going mad, and to be honest, it spoilt the first few weeks with her completely.

She's very jolly now though!

:)

pebbles2004pebbles · 12/12/2004 18:31

Thanks for all your help guys - she woke briefly at 6 but it was feed time, went straight back to sleep - im gonna leave her now and let her sleep and see what happens. I dont mind so much being up with her tonight as long as she is in a better mood!

Good to hear it's getting better. You're not a bad mum darling. We have all had and continue to have bad days with our darlings. Glad people have been able to help, it's what the site is for after all. Smile
