i keep feeling a bit sick..waves of nausea. not really bad but ive been like this for weeks now. im definately NOT pregnant.its usually a couple of hours after eating..almost as if im feeling really weak and low. if i have a glass of pure orange juice i feel a bit better. sometimes in the middle of the night i wake up and feel as if my body is shaking on the inside.. a bit like a tremor. once i felt it in my head and neck. a few times its felt like my ovaries are shaking.....weird. quite often i get palpatations when i wake up at night

are you sure you're on the right dose for your thyroid? the palpitations can definitely be a sign of underactive thyroid.

Sorry, dunno what stage 2 ckd is?

What was your TSH level though bubble, do you know? A friend has been doing her research and has recently told me (I have this as well) that american research now says that TSH level should be as near to 0 as possible.

I think currently the NHS threshold is about 5 so it could possibly be that they say you are fine but could actually feel much better if your dose was increased to suppress the TSH further.

Of course it's a balance, I know it's not good to be having too much thyroxine. But it may be worth checking?

Maybe you could ask for a full blood count? Have you been tested for diabetes? Not that what you describe makes me think that and I'm no expert but I know lots of people have it without knowing!

thanks hg, don't know what my levels are but maybe i should go back to docs and bleat a bit louder.

i did wonder if i had symptoms of diabetes as it really feels like a low blood sugar..you know when you just need something to perk you up..but i don't have the excessive thirst that comes with diabetes. also that would make sense with feeling weird in the middle of the night..as i wouldnt have had anything to eat for a few hours. anyway, off to bed now ,hoping someone will come along maybe in the morning with an answer..thanks for replying and your suggestions.

Sounds like reactive hypoglycaemia, where you produce too much insulin after high carbohydrate foods and this results in blood sugar spikes and drops.
Try eating only low Gi carbs and always combined with protein, and avoid all simple sugars for a while to see if it helps.

Avoid OJ!

I had gestational diabetes and was told that 4 in the morning was often the time when blood sugar would plummet and you wake up feeling/craving food.

Make appt with GP and have it checked out. HTH
