DD (nearly 3) has vomited three days in a row at 3pm every day. She feels sick and is clingy / tearful for about an hour and eventually vomits. Other than the time she is not feeling sick she is in fine form and playing away, happy as ever.
Anyone ever heard of this???
Her appetite is very depleated but she is thirsty for milk.

I should mention she had a tummy bug last week, she was sick all through the night then better the next day.

Can anyone offer advice? I'm getting really worried.

In my experience, little children's systems can get into a sort of cycle after a tummy bug that can take a while to break. All of mine have done this when little; had bugs, recovered mostly, and then thrown up at a similar time, each day for a few days.

To try to break this cycle, I wouldn't give her milk; she's old enough to manage without it for a while. Give her lots of clear fluids, avoid dairy completely for a few days and give her bland foods including carbs, eg mashed potato, toast etc. But not too much food.. she'll be fine as long as she's drinking small amounts frequently.

is she getting, or does she have a cold at all?, my dc's both feel sick and tend to vomit when they have colds due to catarrh

the first day it was beans on toast, petit filous and ribena, the next day it was after a rice krispie bun, today she really ate nothing but vomited mucus and milk.

She's wanted milk a lot so I'll stop giving it, I got some dioralite from the chemist I'll mix with ribena.

Many thanks, good to know it's not an isolated incident!!
