Symptoms are fatigue and weakness. Community practitioner has not raised any concerns with my results below, but I am a bit concerned and would greatly appreciate any help:

Serum ferritin level 73.2 ug/L;
Serum TSH level 1.06 mU/L
Serum vitamin B12 level 354.0 ng/L
Haemoglobin concentration 129 g/L
Mean cell volume 80.4 fL
Mean cell haemoglobin level 25.5 pg - this was flagged as being below the reference limit.

The only one I can interpret is tsh… the lower the number the better your thyroid is working for you, so a tsh under 2 is excellent. I’m sure others will help with the rest in a bit.

They are largely meaningless if you don’t have the history that prompted the blood test and the normal range for the particular lab where you had them done. Try again with the qualified people.

The blood test was taken at a GP, but a community practitioner has read the results and have said they are fine rather than a GP.

She wouldn’t have said anything she’s not qualified to say.

Possibly anaemia which makes sense with your symptoms. Your mean cell Haemoglobin is just slightly low.

Thank you. How would anaemia be diagnosed?

When you look at your results via the NHS app, you can see the ranges. That might help you determine if each reading is low, within range or high.

@bloodytest
Looks like your doctor has done a standard FBC (full blood count) alongside some other tests and they don’t really need to do much more to diagnose anaemia. Yours is only just very slightly out of range so nothing to worry about at all. All your other results are fine.
