Blood test results - please tell me the non-serious things this could be?

I have, according to my blood results, elevated red blood cells (5.44), elevated hematocrit (47), white blood cells (15.8) and thrombocytes (447).

I know you can't offer me medical advice but I have health anxiety and just need to stay calm until next Friday when my next set will be back and I'll know more. These results above were standard blood tests taken 3 weeks postpartum. The white cells are the ones the doctor is a bit more concerned about. The problem is, this happened after the birth of my first DC a few years ago and no doctors knew what it was (I was tested over 4 weeks) and they ended up just saying well if you're not ill, it'll be one of those things, and it wasn't tested again. I don't know if it's related to the births (which doctors say it shouldn't be), a coincidence, or something sinister.

I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old and I just came home a bit scared today. I asked the doctor "could it be something serious?" And she answered "let's just wait and see, it's just something we need to check to rule out blood diseases". She did also say red blood cells and hematocrit could be dehydration (I was 3 weeks pp, breastfeeding and definitely not drinking enough).

Should I just give my head a wobble and stop worrying / wait for the results? The thought of it being something serious is horrible when I look at my children.

Thanks all

Just bumping. In the meantime, I've managed to find out that high red blood cells and hematocrit together can be dehydration (likely for me as I was in the first 3 weeks of breastfeeding and not drinking nearly enough water).

But the white cells are still a strange one.

One last hopeful bump

It’s probably dehydration OP. Try not to worry. Drink plenty! Our body’s do weird things making baby’s and it can take a while to settle.
if the same thing happened last time, then that’s really reassuring isn’t it? Sounds like it might just be pregnancy or dehydration related. Unlikely the same thing would be from a different cause this time around.
hormones also really play up health anxiety….I remember it well! It’s great your doctor is thorough, you will have an answer really soon, and I’ll bet it’s fine. And you’ll have had a good check up so can relax a bit after that hopefully.
blood results are often a bit out…usually not much wrong!

And stop googling…really really. It’s awful for health anxiety. Look at baby clothes or something instead. Or get outside with your kids, it’ll help. (You’re doing really well)!!

The most likely thing is absolutely nothing at all and normal for someone who has just given birth and was a bit dehydrated.

@Greenpeasnwham thank you very much. I'm hoping that's all it is. I'm constantly thirsty with the breastfeeding and I'm hoping it's nothing as you say or just what my blood does after pregnancy! And I've very much noticed my anxiety goes up postpartum... It's horrible to feel so out of control with it again after getting it under some kind of control!

Thank you.
It's easy with my health anxiety to assume something has been brewing for years🙈
