Anyone know where to get decent teeth whitening strips?

Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone knows where to get decent teeth whitening strips or recommendations for good ones? I've seen them in home bargains and stuff but I know they'll be crap. I don't mind spending money if they're good.

I have some staining in between my teeth as well which I would love to know how to get rid of? Quite embarrassing but I've been very sick the last 6 months with kidney failure and haven't really looked after my teeth properly. Also been vomiting a lot which isn't good for them either.

Any experience or recommendations would be fab! Tia x

I’ve heard the Crest ones are the best. Lots of online places sell them. I am similar to you in that poor health has really damaged and stained my teeth- I got the stains removed by the hygienist at my dentist the other day with something called Sylky- it really has made a huge difference and was worth the £75 (including a general hygienist treatment) so I’d see if somewhere near you offers it.

However, some medications can discolour teeth and the whitening strips won’t change that, if vomit has thinned the enamel, so that the darker dentine is showing through, the strips also won’t help with that I’m afraid.

Amazing advice! Didn't think dentist could get rid of stains without charging for a whitening treatment so I'll ask. The stains are at the bottom in between 2 or three teeth, it's not awful but I'm very conscious of it. Thank you!!

It is illegal to sell crest strips in the U.K. or Europe because the percentage of peroxide is hundreds of times above the legal limit.

Therefore if you buy from someone who will import into U.K. you will buy from someone who is knowingly breaking the law. Hence there is a high chance of buying fake or out of date strips. Do you really want to put something inside your body that has been sold to you by a criminal? https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/st-helens-man-fined-100000-16431762

Man fined £100,000 over illegal teeth whitening strips

Your hygienist will do it. I have mine “sand blasted” (don’t know what the actual term is, but that’s what it feels like - it’s gritty in my mouth 🤣🤣) every 6 months. They also do a cheaper less effective treatment but I prefer the sand blasting! It’s not painful or damaging to teeth and gets rid of all stains.

Yep this is what I had.
