How can my joint and muscle pain suddenly disappear like this?

I'm mid-50s, and every few weeks I'll have some sort of niggling pain somewhere - neck/ shoulder/ back/ knees etc.
Sometimes I get physio, sometimes I just brave it out with hot baths and painkillers, exercise and yoga etc.
However nearly always I'll find that rather than gradually easing and getting better I'll wake up one day and find it's completely disappeared?

How? Why? It makes me feel like it must be related to a deficiency or something rather than physical IYSWIM? Hormones? Vit D?

As a fellow sufferer of join and muscle pain, I'd guess you relax enough in your sleep to release the muscles causing the jip

Palindromic rheumatoid?

Hormones and menopause is my guess. I'm the same - things just come and go for no apparent reason. I'm just glad they do actually disappear at least!

I would guess a mixture of relaxation during sleep and hormones.

As a late 40s person with a lot of joint and muscle aches a combination of physio, obsessional attention to posture and HRT has worked wonders.

If you spend anytime in front of a computer at work ask for a desk assessment.

Peri-menopause and menopause - fluctuating hormones is causing it.
