After 7 months, local GP still refusing to take new patients

We moved house seven months ago. There is one GP in the area but they keep saying that they're not registering new patients. Our current GP is 2 miles away and if I tell them we've moved, they'll deregister us for being out of catchment.

My children are in need of education health and care needs assessments but I'm afraid to apply for them bc our GP would very likely find out that we've moved house and would deregister us and we'd be without a GP. The practice manager at the GP told me this when I enquired about what would happen if we moved.

I'm already very stressed out about my children getting the support and care that they need, so this isn't helping. I've called other GPs in the area but all of them say we're "out of catchment".

Any advice?

Phone the registration department at the health board(health authority) the GP surgery should be able to give the number. They should be able to tell you what the procedure is in this case. We have been closed to new registrations for 4 months as have all the practices in our area because despite knowing for over 20 years that several thousand new houses were planned the health board did nothing and we are all struggling to cope with the influx and can't get GPs. I'm retiring soon and no applications for my job in over a month. 15 years ago we had 55 applications for a GP job. It's awful. I would imagine the health authority might say your current practice has to keep you on ...not sure...good luck.
