Has anyone ever had pancreatitis when they have had their gallbladder removed.

I've been struggling so much this weekend and only just stopped short of going to hospital. Terrible pains across my abdomen and into my back, feverish and nauseous. Felt similar to a when I used to have problems with my gallbladder, but lower down. Gallbladder was removed 7 years ago and had no problems until recently when I seem to keep having digestive issues 🤔😬

Please see your doctor today.

@skysky69 you need to get checked out, pancreatitis can be caused by lots of things, I had it after an operation, it's incredibly painful and can be very serious.

Yes - doctors booked later today 😕

@skysky69 will you come back and let us know what the dr says? How do you feel today? When I had pancreatitis eating was very painful because of course the digestive enzymes are triggered

Having had pancreatis if you suspect it might be that it’s worth heading straight to A&E. A simple quick blood test will confirm and if it is they can offer the i/v fluids and meds you will need. Pancreatis can make you very seriously ill pretty fast and it can even land you in ICU.

Thank you for the replies, doc sent to A&E. It seems I have a water infection 🤷🏻‍♀️

Possibly kidney infection so I'm going to have some antibiotics.

Glad you have been checked by a doctor. Hope the anti-biopics start to make the world a nicer place for you very soon.

Oh dear, so after a scan it turns out it is actually an appendicitis. And I've got to have an op tomorrow to remove it.

Thanks for all advice, lesson learnt, always get it checked out 👍
