Is it my sofa exacerbating my piles? They were fine on holiday

I have just had a v active two week holiday - lots of walking etc - and just realised no itching or piles related pain for first time in years. Food v similar to home so don’t think it was that. Did no sitting on my sofa in the evenings though or sitting at my desk in the day. Could that really be the problem in my normal life? And given I have to work, what solutions?

Perhaps your home sofa presses on them . I'd suggest seeing a doctor and getting them removed.

Probably just because you were more active and weren’t sitting as much, full stop, rather than being anything to do with your particular sofa. Sitting puts pressure on the area that standing and walking don’t.

You could ask for a sit/stand desk converter if you work in an office, so that you can spend part of the day standing instead - we have lots of these available in our office as it’s helpful for reducing back pain. If you work from home you can get your own from Amazon for well under £100 - DH has one for his home desk to help his back problem.

It's not your sofa it's the time you spend sitting on it.. Agree with @MoongazyHare re standing desk. I don't have one but do use the ironing board when wfh (only thing it's used for!).
Can you up your activity levels if that helped?
