Palpitations, tight chest etc

I've been having palpitations for about a year now, ECG's are always normal but I do have a fast heart rate (sinus tachycardia) but I always feel like my heart is thumping throughout my body. It never goes away. Sometimes it's accompanied by fast heart rate/dizziness.

I've had my thyroid tested and that was apparently normal, my iron was slightly low and Vitamin D was slightly low but nothing that would cause physical symptoms apparently.

They wake me up in the night, they're there all day some days and I'm just tired of feeling on edge because of them. Anyone else had similar? I gave birth 10 months ago but they started when I was pregnant.

Should have added, sometimes at night my arms get pins and needles but I'm not even lying on the arm? Could this be related?

An ECG isn’t sufficient unless it’s a 24/48 hour one or even 7 days. A quick ECG doesn’t capture a lot. You need to see the GP and ask for a longer one. I work in cardiology and also have a heart condition. Pins and needles could be anything, although if I get tachycardia I get pins and needles in my arms sometimes or if I’m going to faint.

I would see about having the 7 day monitor on. I used to get palpitations all the time and had both a 24 hour monitor and then the 7 day one followed with ECGs and everything came back clear. I still get them now and again but have had low iron/b12 since DD1 was born nearly 4 years ago and I do get pins and needles now and again in my arms, usually during the night. I'm on Cyanocobalamin for the second time for 6 months, 3 a day however have stopped taking it because it causes havoc with my bowels! (Sorry, tmi 😂) so will be speaking to the GP about an alternative
