Denying treatment

How can I make other people understand that I don't want to have treatment?

I have no dependants , rent and in a minimum wage job. I live month to month. And am near pension age.

I don't really have any friends but am close to a few work colleagues.

They knew I'd had symptoms, knew diagnosis, know the outcome means drastic invasive treatment with no guarantee. Plus I have no one to care for me through treatment and look after me after.

So, I hadn't mentioned anything for a few weeks but keep getting asked , so just said to one that I wasn't pursuing it any further. Since which it seems that they have ganged up to try and disagree with me .

I can't find the right words at work to ask them to leave it with out being rude.

Surely I can't be only person to decide this ?

I suppose it’s just a choice that they can’t comprehend making so they feel they must ‘save you from yourself’ and persuade you to have the treatment.
All you can say to them is that you’ve made your decision and you don’t wish to discuss it further.
Is there a HR department or personnel manager? Maybe they could discuss it with them and make it clear it’s not appropriate to badger you about this.
I’m sorry for what you are going through, it must be difficult having a diagnosis and making the decision not to have treatment and then having to deal with the daily reminder from your colleagues Flowers

Thank you for replying, yes there is an HR dept but I'm reluctant to approach as I'm capable of doing my job and near to retirement so don't want the involvement of occupational health etc
