I had a salpingectomy to have an ectopic pregnancy removed on Tuesday evening. 5 days post op today and I took my dressings off does this wound look ok?
It's not sore, hot or red but should it look like this?
Thanks

Whoever stitched that together has left a raw edge, looks like it’s healing but it’s not the best suture!

Sorry for your ectopic loss, its awful.
I had one too and like you the wound wasnt great, but it was all down to very poor suturing. Took ages to heal, the stitches were so tight they had to be removed by a consultant with gas and air (for me) and the scar was noticeable for years. All fine now though.
Would you dress it for another few days? Or other option is to go back and restitch. But that could be a pain in the bum.

It looks like a few of the outer stitches haven't held. I would contact your surgery - likely they'll be able to apply a local and take care of it.

So sorry for your loose, I too also had a one but mine ruptured and I was cut open. It doesn’t look infected but does look badly stitched like previous posters have said. Call GP when they open and ask them to review it, they can do this over the phone/online if easier, your just need to send some pictures in

So sorry for your loss

It looks fine not infected etc. However, it's poor needlework. If you have a follow up booked I would show them the wound and this picture.

Practice nurse.
This isn't something GP's usually do.
The suture has held but just looks badly done. Clean it with cooled boiled water and cover with a dry dressing and keep an eye out for surrounding inflammation, heat, increased pain, smelly exudate.
