Post pneumonia and sepsis

I had severe pneumonia and sepsis with a chest drain in December, I was in hospital just over 2 weeks. Since being discharged in December, I don't feel like myself, my skin has changed (much more oily, much more prone to spots) A big issue for me is my hair has started to come out over the last 5/6 weeks, every time I wash it so much hair comes out, much more than the average shred and it's becoming noticeably thinner, it's also becoming very greasy very quickly.
I've had thrush, I'm exhausted in an evening and still have a high heart rate whenever I do anything (I have been to the doctor's about my heart rate already)
Has anyone else had pneumonia and sepsis and experienced any of the above symptoms once discharged?
I don't feel like myself at all 😞

Google Post Sepsis Syndrome.
People can be suffering for quite a long time after recovery, it’s not something GP’s every really acknowledge.
I’m sorry you are still suffering so much, I think it took DH around 7/8 months to really feel himself again after pneumonia and sepsis, he too was in hospital for a couple of weeks. I hope you get back to your full fitness soon Flowers

I think any serious illness can cause problems long after "recovery".
I had covid pnemonia in 2021 and my hair cam out in handfulls over the following 9 months.
I had a very bad chest infection last year and had intense fatigue long after it cleared up.
I have arrythmia which causes no problems most of the time but when I get infection my HR shoots up and is a bit temperamental for weeks.
The good news is the hair loss is temporary.

I really feel for you, I had this and it was painful and scary. Unfortunately it took me a good 6 months or so to feel ‘normal’ but that was 2 years ago and I have been fine ever since.
try and be patient and take it easy, don’t push yourself too hard. I found it difficult as I hate not doing much but I had to give in in the end!
I found I had very grey skin and hair thinning but again it did go back to normal!
All the best! X
