Will my crown settle?

Hi, I had a crown fitted a week ago and it was too high and my bite was uneven. I returned to the dentist and had it shaved down which improved it, my jaw no longer aches and feels alot better at rest.
However, i've noticed it seems still slightly high in comparison to the other side. When eating, the adjacent tooth occasional slides off the crown making a grinding noise when eating. It doesn't happen all of the time, and just seems to be at certain angles, and when I'm not concentrating on my bite. Will this improve with time, can crowns feel a little high with this symptom at first?
I'd appreciate any advice from anybody who has experience with crowns or any dentists. Thank you!

Forgot to ask as well could I be causing the issue because I'm not used to the tooth (sort of sabotaging my own bite)? I have a really worn down molar on the other side so maybe this isn't helping either?

I think you need to go back to the dentist again .He/she shouldn't mind .Mine certainly wouldn't .

Yes, they do settle down. I think you seem to get used to it. I couldn’t properly close my mouth for about 3/4 weeks, then all of a sudden it’s fine. Same as a replacement filling I had recently, that’s also taken a while to settle, but now it’s all good.

If you feel like it's too high go back.
I'm a dental nurse but have a crown and I wanted to yank it off as I found it so irritating the first week. I just knew it was there but now I don't even feel it in my mouth.

I thought this was going to be King Charles worrying about his coronation...

Mine took about 6 weeks for me not to notice it at all. The first two weeks were awful and it felt so high but it wasn't.
