Dry/scaly patch on upper arm?

Hi, does anyone know what this could be? I thought it may have been eczema/dry skin but moisturisers and hydrocortisone hasn't helped.
It's been there since around Christmas and spread a bit - about the size of a penny.
I have a GP appointment on Friday just to get it checked, but don't know if I'm worrying over nothing! Thanks ☺️

How big is the patch?

Actinic Keratosis? I have a similar patch on my nose which I'm going to see my Gp about later this week too

It's about the size of a 1p.

That's what I thought too looking at some google images. Do you know what they do or if they treat it? A lot of google searches are from the US.

It looks like my psoriasis can look. If you scratch it, will it bleed? (Psoriasis usually will, or go red.)

No it doesn't bleed.. I did think psoriasis too but can it be just one patch? Would it have gone away with hydrocortisone?

Psoriasis wouldn't necessarily disappear with hydrocortisone but you'd expect it to have some effect, I think, but it can be very different depending on the person.

Chocolateteabag · 23/02/2023 00:05

I've read that it can be treated but not sure how

Roll on Friday and hopefully we both get some answers 🤞

So mine is Solar Keratosis @asdmama

It's not cancer but can become cancerous eventually so I have a diclofenac cream and have to keep slapping in the 50spf

If it changes at all - go back (colour, raised up etc)

Fungal infection? May start to spread at some point. Just happened to my DD.

@asdmama how did you get on?
