Raynauds - should I be concerned?

I've been getting Raynaud's symptoms in my hands more often recently - usually in a couple of fingers to the point where they're white and completely numb. This usually occurs when I move from a warm place to a cooler place - like if I get into the car to drive somewhere on a cold day.

My toes are sometimes numb too so I guess it's the same thing, again if I'm out for a run or walk this might happen. I have what I think is a chilblain on one of my toes too.

Is this something to be concerned about? It's not really been an issue before. I'm 45 and perimenopausal - could it be linked to that? Any experience or advice welcome.

@Spongeboob so yours don't go white? The ends of my fingers from the bendy bits up go bright red and burn but never white and I'm wondering if it's raynauds

I started experiencing Raynaud attacks for the first time at 47 - It went on to be part of an autoimmune disorder so you’re right to be wary and keep an eye on it.

Agree. I have Reynolds, also chilblains this time of year. It's secondary to my rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

This is the first year that they're starting to go white when I’m too cold. They've always been very red all the time, which turns into lobster red during even small flares like when I'm just a little bit too hot (very fast reaction), a bit too cold or stressed out. But with it getting worse every year now it's being cold which is bad because it really hurts. I've had a few people approach me randomly in public to ask if I have Raynauds because they see my bright red hands. The cold makes my fingers and hands not work properly now if I’m not warm enough with enough core layers plus gloves on and stings like hell as if they're on fire if I touch anything too cold or frozen for more than a few seconds.
I've been prescribed Nifedipine like my other family members have been but it gives me awful headaches.

@Spongeboob I know what you mean by the pain. It feels like they are burning and trying to drive when the steering wheel is cold is agony x
