Does anyone else think it's immoral that kids in the UK aren't routinely offered vax for CP? I understand it's so that older people are exposed to unwell kids every now and then to boost their immunity to shingles. That seems nuts! Why should kids have to be ill so that older people don't get ill? And especially since there's a shingles vax available anyway. I just can't get my head around it.

Completely agree. Two weeks of illness is a lot even for the majority of kids who don’t have complications, and so often older children bring it home to infect baby siblings. My kids are vaccinated. I will make sure that they understand they have to keep up with the vaccines in adulthood so that they don’t catch it later.

Completely agree!! We had DD vaccinated after seeing what it was like for DS.

Totally agree. After a tragedy involving a close friend I had my kids vaccinated as soon as they were old enough.

It's on the horizon. All delayed due to Covid but is likely to happen at some point. As is an RSV vaccine for babies.

It's a financial choice. We should fund the NHS better so everyone has access to the vaccination.
