What might cause finger tips to go yellow? Not nicotine

DD’s finger tips have gone yellow over the last few days. She was in a&e a few days ago with severe lower abdominal/gynae pain. She’s on blood thinners due to multiple blood clots and her haematologist is worried she has internal bleeding as she’s been coughing up blood daily for a month but he says it’s too dangerous for her to stop the blood thinners. She’s having another CTPA scan in a couple of weeks.

the dr in a&e wanted to admit her the other night but the gynae dr said it wasn’t necessary. Dd reckons the a&e doctor said she’d write to the gp asking the gp to sort out a hospital admission, which seems odd to me.

Anyway she still has the pain and now has yellow fingers. She rang 111 who said she needed a call back but they rang back at 3am and Dd missed the call as she was asleep. She’s going to see the GP on Weds, I assume it can wait until then. She had an abnormal liver blood test recently which they’re planning on retesting, so I’m thinking it might be liver related? Can you get jaundice just in your fingers.

The easiest place to look for jaundice is the sclera of the eyes.
No, not in fingers. If she's got Raynauds or a similar condition then fingers can look waxy.
If she's looking 'shut down' then peripheries are first to go though. Is she feeling ok otherwise and her colour generally ok?

The whites of her eyes still look white. She’s very pale, losing weight.
