What does chicken pox look like in vaccinated kids?

Just that really. I'm feeling a bit worried my DC might have it. they were vaccinated about 6 years ago and the spots are just red and slightly raised on their back. I thought it def wasn't and sent them to school today (first noticed the spots last night) but am now feeling really guilty because I've realised that sometimes even vaccinated kids can still get it and we might have spread it all round their class. Would the spots still blister? These haven't so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Child isn't feeling unwell - was complaining of feeling a bit sick (nausea) for an hour or so after school but that's passed now and no other symptoms. Except the strange spots. We have had cases in the school recently so probably exposure.
Thanks

My son had it a few months ago despite being vaccinated.

No symptoms apart from spots.

They were tiny red spots on day one. He started with 2 on his torso and overnight got 6 in total.

Day 2 they blistered

Day 3 they scabbed

Day 4 they were gone.

Super quick and easy.

His sister who is also vaccinated didn't catch it from him.

Mine are both vaccinated and not had it as far as I'm concerned

If they do get it after vaccination are they still contagious? Have we just potentially passed it to all their friends at school?
Going to stay home tomorrow but will it mean half term plans are off now?

Does this look like CP do you think?

Yeah could be.

They have been contagious since before the spots arrive so don't worry about that.

As for half term, my son was only off school 2 days then he was fine. He scabbed (became non contagious) almost straight away.

Both of my vaccinated kids had CP. They were just like the picture you posted but my kid's spots didn't look as inflamed/bad. Dd1 had 4 spots on her face and dd2 had about 5 scattered over her body, that was it! School didn't know when they were allowed back in school so they had to have the week off because the spots didn't develop like normal chicken pox by blistering etc. Both were mostly fine in themselves and didn't get "poorly" with it, just a few signs of being run down. I'm glad they were vaccinated because it can be a really horrible illness.

To clarify, they both had to be off school for a week after the first spot appeared. So they didn't actually have a full week off because of weekends and me not thinking it was chicken pox for a day or two.

There was a CP outbreak in my vaccinated DC's class which I only found out about two weeks after it started. During that time, I did notice what I thought was 3 inset bites on her back. They disappeared within a few days. She was fine in herself and not at all unwell. Looked like your photo. We didn't isolate her at all.
