Hi everyone to my suprise baby boy came 3 weeks early into the world. Csection went well 5 days ago. Slightly sore now but have noticed that I have pain now when I wee. Who am I best to ring to ask about this , is it gp or community midwives.

also has anyone else had pain when they wee after a csection .it’s mainly towards the end of my wee. I don’t remember this with my first

I've had exactly this with both c sections. It rectified itself over a week or so- I think it's either to do with having a catheter, or maybe your bladder is in some shock after being shoved around. You could speak to your midwife though.

Congratulations on your new baby!

I had the same and it was very unpleasant but it resolved itself before I got a chance to see anyone about it. By all means speak to your midwife but in the meantime drink plenty.

Yes I did! I put it down to things shifting around as my bladder emptied. It was really sore I remember. I did also develop a UTI though so keep an eye on any additional symptoms in case you need antibiotics.

I got a uti and needed antibiotics. I was told it was linked to the catheter . I was in hospital for 5 days and it started before I left .
Congratulations on your new baby 💐

You will have had a catheter so maybe you'll be fine in a few days.
I've had 3 cs' and if I can remember rightly yes everything down there felt weird for a bit.
However do mention it to health visitor and or GP if it persists in case it's an upcoming infection and or to put your mind at rest.
Congratulations! Hope you feel better soon 💐

If it continues ask the GP to do a urine dip to rule out infection. When you have a LSCS obviously they will have used a urinary catheter, so the area can feel a bit bruised/tender for a while. I had an in/out catheter at birth (ventouse delivery) and I was sore from the catheter for about 3 weeks, then achey in that area for around 3 months every time I peed. It did resolve though and had no signs of UTI.
