Hello, I am looking to see if anyone can help at all. I have what started as spots all over my chest in October, spread to spots/hives all over my body. Have been to docs multiple times, tried anti fungal creams, steroids, blood work but am at a loss. No change of washing powder or anything like that either. They are quite itchy but not debilitating. I just want them gone/to know what they are :(

Looks like an allergic reaction. Do you take any medication on a regular basis?

Windy1234 · 23/01/2023 21:20

Yes I take insulin for type 1 diabetes but have done for sixteen years now with no problems. I don't have any other known allergies either.

insects, ? or some kind of infestation, bedbugs ?
they can lodge in tiny crevices and spread out, not just in beds.
esp if you buy anything secondhand, or go to car boot sales, old electrical equipment, collectors items etc.

Windy1234 · 23/01/2023 21:30

I wondered about that but I share a bed with my husband and two toddlers a lot and none of them have anything x

Are farm dogs flea treated?
Check bed for signs of bedbugs. They may prefer you!

Beach11 · 23/01/2023 21:45

@Windy1234 hives can be a reaction to insulin

Looks sore, hope you find out the cause.

Has the Dr done a blood test for allergies? Not uncommon to develop an allergy to something that never caused issue before

Windy1234 · 23/01/2023 21:54

Oh goodness I never thought it could be insulin, the doctor did blood tests last week to rule out thyroid and vitamin deficiencies but never mentioned allergies. I will phone again tomorrow x

could it be pityriasis rosea?

Washinglinewench29 · 24/01/2023 07:18

Have you had covid lately? I had similar recently but then just went away finally after a few weeks of annoyance. I was convinced I was going mad.

Windy1234 · 24/01/2023 07:58

Iv never had/tested positive for covid. It's also been around since October so it's going on a while now. I am going to phone doctor again today and see if there is any specific allergy testing they can do x

Hi windy1234 did you get to the bottom of this, struggling with similar at the moment!

Zoesaif201 · 25/02/2025 01:49

Hi, I would really appreciate if anyone could help?
i am suffering from this rash since Monday last week - been about 7 days today. It’s really really itching to a point where I start bleeding from it. It feels like theres so much inflammation on my skin as its so hot to touch now. I went to GP twice but one said looks like Hives and the other said looks like scabies. I have no idea which one is right? I didnt eat anything that should create trouble. Not really gone out either. Doc prescribed me Fexofenidine 180mg. Ate that but the itch is still there and it Just started all of a sudden - pls if you could advice me what it looks like to you ? Thanks

Zoesaif201 · 25/02/2025 01:50
