I'm gutted (understatement)

I went out tonight with a dr who was asking if I'd have any more (I've 3dd)

She didn't know any of my history but I explained I would like some more but concerned as I've had 3 sections plus an operation through the same scar.

She's completely devastated me as she said she'd advise against me having any more as the baby might die because of all my scarring and would advise me against having any more at all.

At the moment I feel it's only a strong possibility to have another one but to have that option taken away from me is just devastating.

Has anyone else been in a similar position and it all worked out fine?

Good God, I'm having my 4th CS next April and my obs is totally fine with it! There are increased risks with each successive CS but the odds of the baby dying are tiny! So far, I'm not even classified as high risk and my last pg and delivery were no walk in the park! I'm in Ireland and we tend to have more children than in the UK as a general rule and I know several people who have had 4 or 5 CS's. One girl I chat to online has had 7 ( Her last pg was high risk though) and I have heard of someone who has had 13.
tbh I do think that was a terrible thing to say to you.

I would not instantly take her word for it. Is she an obstetrician specialising in post-section pregnancies? If not, see such a specialist before you make up your mind. Tbh I've had such a lot of crap spouted at me by doctors over the years that these days I would look very narrowly at their qualifications before I trusted anyone on such an important issue. If the specialist says so, then obviously you'd have to weigh the risks.
