Excess saliva

For the last couple of days I've been getting increasingly uncomfortable with what I think is hypersalivation. I feel like I'm constantly swallowing and when lying down at night I feel like I might drown in my saliva, it's quite distressing. I ended up breathing with my mouth open to try and dry it out as much as possible.

I feel like I'm constantly feeling a trickle of saliva at the back of my throat that I need to swallow though i can't be 100% sure there's actually anything there.

Has anyone ever had something like this? I'm a bit of a worrier so have started googling symptoms for mouth cancer or throat cancer :(

I have had this in both my pregnancies. Is there any chance you could be pregnant? It was a first sign for me along with heart palpitations before I even missed a period. I hope you find a cure and cause in the mean time sucking sweets and chewing gum can help.

I had this when I was pregnant, as did my mum.

No, no chance of pregnancy here but I see what you mean, I did get that too.l when pregnant. It would be an immaculate conception if I am though!

I have had various weird symptoms for a couple of weeks and came to the conclusion I might have had Covid but never tested. Sore throat for a day, dodgy tummy, vertigo, heart palpitations, bit of ear pain. I've been fully better for over a week though.
