Anyone else had a soft tissue lesion found on uterus on ct scan? If it was a fibroid why wouldn't they say that instead of saying lesion? My gp said it dosent look anything to worry about but to go for a ultrasound.
I don't have symptoms just periods heavy sometimes. I'm absolutely terrified can't stop crying as I already have terrible anxiety.

Gosh how scary for you doctors hate to commit themselves to anything until they know, so I thibk it could still be a fibroid they just need another look to be sure x

A CT scan absolutely cannot differentiate a female pelvic 'mass'. It's just a larger grey blob than would otherwise be expected to be seen in that area, thus it has been flagged for further investigation.

I imagine you'll get a TV ultrasound and/or MRI scan appointment. As these are the diagnostic tests you now should have, along with maybe some blood tests.

The vast majority are nothing to worry about. The few that are, the sooner they're diagnosed the better.

The wait is horrible, I know. But, at this stage, your CT revealed 'What's that, then? Further investigation is recommended'.

That's my take. Hope all is well.

Thanks

No one seems that worried about it. I have no symptoms. My gp says it's nothing to worry about but will send me for a transvaginal scan. I have terrible anxiety as it is.

Yes, a 2WW ultrasound is certainly the best course of action,
