After a nasty session with penicillen , i was hoping to boost myself with a probiotic and some multi vits. Is there a tablet form, as liquids are normally rank!!??

If it's for you get Biocare Bioacidophilus - the best on the market - you need to keep it in the fridge - take 1 capsule in the morning and one in the evening for a month. Hope you feel better.

I did an online survey this week on some potential (I assume) new children's drinks from Robinsons, mostly milk-based but one of them was a probiotic fruit drink. I will be looking out for it - it doesn't sound right somehow (mind you I don't mind the milky ones) but thought I might give it one go.

Hope you are properly better soon, melsy!

Has done my IBS a world of good since I started taking it.

are we allowed probiotics during pg ? keep forgetting to ask midwife cos i usually enjoy the probiotics yoghurt drinks by muller etc...havent taken any for while now since pg . are the yoghurt ones safe enough does anyone know ?

yes probiotics are great for both mother and baby - apparantly probiotics taken during pregnancy can prevent infantile eczema. The probiotic yohgurts are not very effective though - the capsules are 20x-ish stronger.

What about Yakult - isn't that probiotoc?

Probiotic yoghurt also helps to prevent yeast infections. If you are prone to yeast infections, you will know that you can't use the cream/pessaries in pregnancy. So, whenever I am pregnant I make point of eating the bio yoghurts often (about four a week). And this seems to keep the yeast infections away.

Sorry about the use of "yeast infection" as I know it is the American term. Can't remember what it is typically called here in the UK.
