Tingling in arm and hand

I have had a tingling sensation in my right wrist and hand for nearly three days now and it is there nearly all the time. I have been feeling quite stressed lately and been sleeping badly but other than that seem in relatively good health. I’m 46 years old, maybe a stone over weight but quite active.blood pressure one minute is high and the next normal on the machine we have at home. Not sure if I would be wasting a GP’s time if I tried to get an appointment or whether it can just be left for a few more days to see if it goes away. Any ideas what it could be? Or anyone had anything similar?

It could be carpal tunnel, although I’m not sure it can be constant like you’re describing. I have it but it goes away when I move/straighten my wrist. Is it worse at night? You could try getting a wrist splint for it and see if that helps. Is the stone a recent gain? I ask because that can put more pressure on the median nerve in your wrist. Definitely worth seeing your GP about it, hope you get some answers.

do you have any other symptoms? Exhaustion?

I was going to ask if you have any other symptoms too. I get this also sometimes.

For me it was low ferritin caused by heavy periods.

I experienced this at a similar age after a prolonged period of high stress...I also at the same time started other symptoms of peri. I went to GP and had lots of tests but no diagnosis. Went on for months. What helped me was getting the stress under control and magnesium. Apparently we use magnesium to make cortisol, so prolonged stress depletes your magnesium. One of the signs of low magnesium is numbness and tingling.

Get yourself to the GP and ask them to test?
