Iron
HRT
Codeine and ibuprofen if I wake during the night

And most recently, blood thinners prescribed for a minor heart condition.

Often related to vitamin B12 deficiency too. Get a blood test.

Also go through the vitamin B12 deficiency symptom checker on the pernicious anaemia society website

This was part of my perimenopause horror before I was given HRT. That one was the most irritating because it stopped me being able to sleep, and that has a knock on effect. I felt like I was bloody riverdancing.

Pramipexole.

If all else fails, it's a bloody life saver.

Thank you all so much for the tips.

To the pp who asked my age, I'm 30. Restless legs started during pregnancy 5 years ago and has been at an all time high over this Christmas period. Will definitely be booking in to have bloods.

Hi @golddustwomen not knowing your medical background and health status I would hazard a vitamin D and calcium deficiency. Low vitamin D can lead to low calcium. Calcium is essential to the proper functioning of neurotransmitters.
I suggest tests to assess your Vitamin D, Calcium and iron levels to ensure you take the right dosis to bring your levels back to normal.

I have started magnesium citrate after being Unwell for 2 to 3 months with bad headaches , dizziness and a weird leg kind of weakness on one side - I've had various tests including bloods, ultrasound on thyroid etc and apart from awful blood pressure and bad cholesterol they are struggling to get to bottom of it . But oddly I read someone took magnesium citrate for long covid and it helped, so thought I would give it a bash- so far it seems to be helping a lot even after 4 days and has def helped with restless legs which I've had for years. I had always taken a daily multivitamin but when I looked I realised it only has 16% of daily recommended for magnesium- not sure if it's these supplements or not but it's def helped

Okay so it's probably not perimenopause then.

Iron levels and magnesium are important here, so as others have suggested you might want to ask for some blood tests.
