Anyone got any tips for getting rid of a bernard manning like stomach?

Actualy it's not quite that bad but is nothing that diet will fix. Can anyone recommend a good dvd (not too difficult but effective) or alternatively some exercises for fast results! How many times a week would I need to do them? Thanks

Pilates - it really works. I actually have muscular stomach definition now (albeit while still looking like it is wrapped in a thin duvet!)

Second pilates. I have my abs back after a year of weekly sessions.

I third pilates.

would I have to go to a class or could I do it at home? How many times a week would make a difference?

Charlie Brooks' "before and after" excercise DVD has a great pilates cool-down section, and is surprisingly non-annoying/cringeworthy etc. The whole workout is 5 sections x10 mins each long, but it's too much for me to do all of them at once - I just do the warm-up, one of the middle sections and the cool-down. The "scissors" bit is a killer but great on the tummy!
Davina's "power of 3" has a stomach section so, like with the Charlie Brooks one, you can just do the warm-up, stomach section and cool-down, and miss out the other sections if they're too much to do all at once.
Also Davina's "my 3 30 minute workouts" are good all-round exercises and not too taxing for a beginner, and have some good stomach sections.
Based on Davina's expert advice (!) 3 times a week is a good minimum starting point.
I was a total exercise-phobe pre-baby, but have actually really started to enjoy having 30 mins to myself (even though have to do it in evenings once DS in bed!) to excercise - NEVER thought I'd say that!!

Thanks for that. Will give davina or charlie a go then!

Try going on Youtube and putting "Stomach exercises" in the search bit. It comes up with loads of videos example here

I did this the other day for arm exercises and it was dead useful.

Good luck! You'll have a 6 pack before long!
