Marina coil 2+ years on..

Had the marina coil about 6 months after I had my 3rd DC. I was always against it as I purely didn't like the thought of it. Implant was always a no go, along with any type of pill. And injection was amazing but they didn't want me on this more than a year.
Coil was hell for the first 6 months, wanted to rip the bugger out.. GP who 'specialises' if that's the right word, in things like this said to stick with it for 6 months if i can, it needs time for my body to get used to it. Plus had a baby fairly recently at the time! So I did.. she was right! Everything calmed down around 6 months and it's been a god send since.
Up until a 2 months ago.. I've started bleeding quite regularly. Though not as heavy as it used to be.. it's enough to wear pads.. And sometimes it's just upon wiping after going to the toilet.
I've also noticed my mood swings on those wonderful times during each month are slowly getting worse, my patience runs thin. My skin flares up really badly also.
Unsure as to why I've all of a sudden started experiencing these things within last two months?! I can still feel the strings, I checked as I did wonder if it had come out without me knowing.
Anyone experienced similiar?
Thanking you x

To add - haven't had a period from after the 6 months after I had the coil fitted. Only last 2 months or so I'm experiencing it.

Hi I’ve used Mirena for quite a while now for gynae reasons and it’s been a godsend. I know they say it’s good for approximately 5 years for contraceptive cover but I can get approximately 3 years before mine starts to “fail”and I have all of the horrible heavy bleeds, pain and discomfort back again. I’ve been very lucky and my GP usually just arranges for a new one to be fitted.
if possible I’d discuss the changes you’ve had with your GP and get any other possible causes ruled out. Hope you manage to get sorted out soon.

Hey. Thanks for replying.
This is really interesting actually regarding your experience with it. I had it for both contraceptive reasons and I've always suffered with really heavy periods and pain especially with my back during one. So it has really helped it both sense obviously. But it's just annoying all of a sudden, so random! I'm having undergoing tests for Coeliac disease and I don't think I can link the two. May be worth mentioning to the GP I suppose sitting thinking about it more with the ongoing tests I'm having done.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with it. X
