I am in the process of getting a referral too. I have always suffered, an endoscopy many, many, years ago found a slow emptying stomach as well as a poorly functioning oesophogeal (sp?) sphincter. Also treated with antibiotics for Helicobacter. Had my gall bladder removed about 15 years ago, which really helped, but recently have been really suffering again. Lots of random stabbing and burning pains, bad digestion. Also coughing because my tubes are all burnt.

I am thinking age (am 55 and menopausal and on HRT), possible gastritis, or ulcers, and in the back of my mind really worried about Pancreatic cancer as my dad died of that, so also a bit of worried well going on, but need the reassurance that nothing is badly wrong.

Had a message from GPs and they have prescribed me the med famotinide to try and have an appt tomorrow to discuss so that is good. Hope others are doing OK with this horrible problem. I think mine has improved slightly with not taking the pain meds
