3m - Post Colonoscopy issues

I had a Colonoscopy around 3m ago as blood had shown up in my stool sample.
I was not given the correct prep so the procedure was 'incomplete' but surgeon said he'd seen enough (it was a Sunday, a team from across the other side of the country, & it was all very laid back - another elderly lady was sent away even though they had failed to do the procedure - just said: 'come back next year').

Anyway, apparantly my scan only showed 'haemorrohoids'.
Since then I have been really constipated - last night was horrendous. it took me an hour to be able to 'go' (& i REALLY needed to...). After my bottom felt very sore either side of my anus.

what can i do to reduce constipation?
what can I do about the soreness (is that just too vague?)
should I still be so sore 3 months after the procedure?

Mine was very laid back too. 4 weeks ago. Saw everything. My body is back to normal. Still waiting on biopsies though. I would call your consultant and get some proper advice. Did they band the hemmeroids?

Why weren't you given the correct prep? Horrid stuff. I made sure to do it properly as I was not wanting to have to risk taking that stuff again. 1 litre of that stuff was horrendous. And then again later the same day 🙈🙈🙈

@strawberryandcreams I don't know why. The prep did work but not properly. So, I called to advise that I was still passing motions 30m before the OP appt. They said 'why didn't you take it properly?' I did & said so. I have bad constipation anyway (poss as a result of bariatric surgery) so I should have been given extra prep but no one had done this. It is typical of my local small hospital sadly.
So, they said: 'might as well do it as you are here' but the near end of my bowel was 'very difficult to see'. Surgeon said nothing about haemorrhoids I only saw that on the copy letter to my GP. No advice or further tx it would seem.

I could call but it was a visiting Consultant (Sunday am op time) so I wouldnt be able to speak to the person who did it I imagine?
But I do need help with the constipation & bleeding.
