Breast pain

I don't know if I'm overthinking this, and I will start by saying that I've recently been suffering from anxiety, including health anxiety (more as a result of being a single parent with 2 small dc, I'm not scared of being ill, I'm scared of dying and leaving them. )

Onto the point, I've been having so e breast pain. It's not related to periods or totm, it's not the same as that and is almost continuous. It's in both sides but mostly the left, and towards my armpit. So if I put my right hand over my left breast, where my fingertips are. It's not agony at all, but just there. Sometimes just there, sometimes more of a throbbing.

I called the Drs this morning but couldn't get through and gave up.

Would you want to be seen ASAP? I'm worrying .

Please go to the dr with this if nothing else but for piece of mind. I had this on & off for years - it turned out it was nothing sinister. I stated getting aches again and I just ignored it (put it down to hormones) as I had been checked so many times for exactly the same thing before and had always been fine.

I ended up going going to doc eventually & unfortunately in my case it was cancer - I got treated and was lucky as it was caught early.

I don’t want to panic you but please get it checked - it is much better to be safe than sorry as if it is cancer it is so much easier to treat the earlier you catch it.

I have the same in my left breast - started about 6 months ago and does wax and wane a bit but mostly always there. I went to the GP who was great, she sent me to the breast clinic and I was in and out within an hour after being reassured that it was hormone related - possibly to do with peri-menopause - and to take evening primrose oil, which has helped a bit I think.

I do think you should get a once over by the doc though as any changes should be checked out, but it does sound very similar to my experience, which is hopefully reassuring.
