Enlarged Pituitary Gland

For the last 2 months my DBro age 33 has been suffering really bad headaches, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting. The headaches are every day and last for hours.
He went to the GP who thought it may be migraine so gave him triptans which made no difference, on the 3rd GP appt he got referred for a brain MRI. The results were back in 2 days and his pituitary gland is enlarged, its 12mm bigger than what it should be.
Hes been referred to a neurologist under the 2 week pathway so he's waiting for his appointment.

Just wondered if anyone has had similar or any positive experiences of this?
Thank you x

Here for some positivity, I have a Prolactinoma which is a prolactin secreting, benign tumour of the pituitary gland. It affects my hormones etc but ultimately isn't life threatening. Men can get these tumours and in men they tend to be 'macroadenomas' which are larger tumours which often lead to headaches and sight issues. I take a medicine called Cabergoline which brings my prolactin levels back to normal and helps shrink the tumour. Surgery is also an option if the tumour is very large.

Although it was quite a shock finding out that i had a brain tumour at 29 it doesn't impact my life. Sending positive vibes for your brother.

I was admitted to hospital a few years ago with similar symptoms to your brother, and as part of the tests they ran, they found an adenoma on my pituitary (which was a bit of a red herring as it wasn’t the cause of the issue I was admitted for, I’d actually spontaneously developed a small spinal fluid leak). I had MRIs every 6 months for 18 months, and was discharged when it abruptly vanished never to be seen again (so far anyway). My endocrinologist said it can happen. I hope all turns out ok x
