Worrying mole

I have quite a lot of moles on my legs and I generally pay them no mind.
However I've noticed this morning thar one has gone red... I know this is a GP appointment job, but I'm not likely to be able to get one for a while. Anyone have similar experience? It's not a cherry angioma as I have some of those and it's different. I'm certain it was previously a normal, small brown mole.
Please excuse my slightly hairy leg!

Can you email a photo to your gp? Some branches of Boots offer a mole checking service I believe.

My surgery is in special measures currently, having no GP's and relying entirely on locums, and they have disabled all their online services. The only option currently available to patients is to phone at 8am for an on the day appointment, which are rarer than rocking horse poop. I'll try Monday, obviously, but it's not an emergency so I feel bad taking an on the day appointment.

A sudden change in a mole? I would class this as an emergency. Ask to be referred to a dermatologist at your local hospital.

I had a dodgy mole on my neck a few years ago. It was not red but sore (turns out I kept catching on on collars etc). They took it very seriously and removed it.

Yeah, I do see that it's important but not acutely urgent and if I stopped a mum getting an appointment for a sick kid I'd feel dreadful.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
