Any Dr here? Worried about scan results.

I had two private scans abroad in private clinics.
One was a X-ray of my chest and the other was a Ultrasound of my thyroid.
Both were more of a preventive check up but also I have a eosinophilic asthma with constant nonstop cough and extreme difficulty of bringing any sputum up- but my Gp would not send me for X-ray.

Also I had Covid 6 weeks ago.

I have no issues with my thyroid however sometimes I feel like my throat has difficulty and pain of swallowing..
I got these two results today but I’m worried now ( translated from Google)

Do you think I should try to contact my GP here? It’s literally impossible hence I went abroad for tests. I felt my lungs are not right for long time, however when I contacted my GP few months ago I only had phone appointment and they would not not even entertain the idea to listen to my chest or even invite me for face to face appointment.

In regards the thyroid findings I looked it up and it says some of the nodules can turn cancerous in the future, even if benign now. I believe we had thyroid cancer in my family ( maternal grandmother)

Also I worry about the thyroid calcification..

Did the clinic where you had the tests not tell you if you needed anything done. I would contact them and ask do you have to do anything further. Can you send these notes over to your GP surgery on their contact page. If you have any thyroid problem a blood test should be carried out.

Didn't the clinic doctor tell you the results and what they meant, also if you needed further medical help?

Whitecatseverywhere · 09/11/2022 07:42

@Mindymomo not really much.
The chest Cray it was only the radiographer I spoke.
The thyroid clinic- the dr said it looks benign, but that did not make me relax.
He said once per year to come for checkup it’s ok.
I just read about the calcification online that that means high chance of thyroid cancer.

Further investigations will make you more & more anxious, OP.
You are obsessed with finding a way to believe you have cancer.
That obsession is your actual health problem.

Whitecatseverywhere · 09/11/2022 08:47

@lljkk
Not really.
My lungs are unwell for long time and anytime I mentioned it to DR I was robbed off that it’s just a asthma.
Hence I went abroad as immediately results.
In regards of my thyroid I am actually shocked they found something as I have no severe issues apart from occasional difficulty of swallowing, but I thought that’s cos of allergies.
Plus I have thyroid cancer in my maternal family- that’s why I went to check it, I never had thyroid checked before, this was for first time.

*fobbed off ( not robbed off)
Also I spent a long time living in a household ( 10 years) with Asbestos workers, shared bathrooms, all rooms, their work clothes were always in the house..

You need to follow up with your doctor. Not because I see anything that I know or think is bad (I'm not a doctor), but because you need someone trained to explain this to you, and decide if anything needs to be done in follow up.
