FIT test, result of 4 ug/g - is that 'normal' or just negative

Any doctors about who can help? DH has just picked up his FIT results via the NHS app. The results say his fHb level was 4ug/g and that anything <10ug/g is a negative result, which is great. However, what I don't know is whether 4ug/g is of any concern at all - is that the lower limit of quantification (so the lowest figure anyone with a trace of blood gets) or should the 'aim' (for want of a better word!) be to get zero on these tests?

Google is not helping me, but I thought Mumsnet could! Thank you!

I've recently had a FIT test due to trying to figure out what's going on with myself. If this helps, my results were 3 and I was told that anything below 10 is negative and great news, she said there was no blood in my stool at all and she has no concerns as to even retest this. ☺️ x

That is helpful, thank you - so you can get less than 4 as a score!

Yes you can sit at below 4 😊
With my FIT test I also had to have my iron checked, for anemia, did they check your sons? Luckily, my iron levels are that of normal range which goes hand in hand with the FIT test results.
I'm undergoing and awaiting other stool samples and test results back to determine the cause of my gastro problems but I am a worrier, and she completely put my worries at ease with the FIT test results being at that level, she's just happy they were under 10! X

Just to add that if he is still having any sort of ongoing issues and symptoms, regardless of the results.. keep persisting with the GP. The human body is a nothing short of confusing sometimes!! X
