Migraine relief

I've been using a Cefaly tens machine for years now and it really helps when I have a migraine. When I came to use it the other day it wouldn't work, so I thought I would order another one. Well it's over £300 now and the electrodes are nearly £30. Way out of my budget at the moment. I had a look around and I've come across the Migraine Pain Reliever Tens from Lloyd's Pharmacy it's £40 and the electrodes are under £4 for 4. It looks exactly the same.

I just thought I would spread the word Incase it benefits anyone. Disclaimer, I haven't actually used it yet. I have no idea how to make a link.

Re: tyramine foods, this is actually a far more comprehensive list. TBH I find some of the worst offenders are MSG, caffeine, leftovers/prepared or fermented/aged foods such as cheddar, alcohol, meat etc, & certain meat & animal products if they are not raised organic. I stick to organic chicken, eggs, & if possible dairy, but seem to be fine with lamb & beef. IDK why - something to do with hormone levels / what they're fed on maybe? Versus lambs & beef cows not being in a constant state of reproduction? All I know is that it seems to work for me.

Pork/pig meat is ok as long as I don't have it too often, but nitrites/nitrates are also a big issue so I buy the Naked brand bacon & Heck or Sainsbury organic sausages, & just have it sparingly. It's definitely more expensive though which is a PITA but it's reduced the attacks.
Also, artificial sweeteners are mostly a big no. Especially the older types. I'm ok with stevia, xylitol & sucralose but I generally avoid anyway as I've lost the sweet tooth through many years of rigorously avoiding sweeteners. And alcohol is right out - I could tolerate one single unit a couple of times a week if I don't eat any other trigger foods - but I'd rather have yoghurt for dessert or some celery in my salad TBH. A drink just isn't worth a 3 day migraine.

I do still get quite a few migraines but, not as much as I used to.
