Yes. I'm watching it. What do you think? I don't think it's doing that Rick Waller's career any good - if I were his PR I'd tell him to quit while he's behind! Think he has anyway, though maybe it's too late.

I have seen a few minutes of it, but these type of programmes make me feel uncomfortable to watch. I feel like people are profiting through the misery of others. Which is why I can't watch stuff like Jerry Springer, Maury Povich etc. I know they all chose to go on but I still don't feel right watching it.

Anne Widdicombe's attitude reminds me uncomfortably of mine during PE lessons at school. No wonder the PE teachers hated me so much! I remember saying 'Don't you think that table-tennis is a bit juvenile for 15-year-olds?" and the teacher nearly exploding with apoplexy. The face of that blonde actress has nearly put me off alcohol (but not quite).

I'm a sucker for programmes like this. I think it's another bit of evidence to support the idea that weight gain and weight loss is a complex psychological, behavioural, emotional issue. Rik Waller has clearly had massive problems around food and eating since being a child. Being yelled at by Harvey and being ordered into the gym, and being threatened with predictions of ill health won't work. He is in denial, and when he isn't., he seeks solace in food. Two of the women have issues round alcohol - again, these need to be tackled before they can get anywhere. Anne Widdicome is weird....no real idea of her own absurdity! She's actually not all that fat (apart from her gi-normous bazooms.....).

I tuned into this very briefly and was devastated to see that I weigh more than Anne Widdecombe!. Am still reeling. Can't believe she is comfortably under 10 stone.

tiktok, i agree with you about this program. discussed it with my trainer and he said he thought the whole thing was bordering on dangerous.

It struck me that the men on this show (bar Rik who is clearly a very messed up person) have such a different attitude to most women. Far less emotional. It's like the difference between most men and the women on What Not To Wear - they take everything much less personally and just get on with it. But then men aren't judged on their bodies and clothes like women. I think Rik could do with some serious cognitive behavioural therapy to face up to how he is killing himself with food. And of course, Anne Widdicomb is beyond gender...

I have been watching it and feel that if I was running the group I would tell AW to shape up (excuse the phrase) or ship out - all she ever does is disagree with them - she is so belligerent (Spelling?) I feel terribly sorry for RW and can't help wondering why all of them have not simply been put onto Weightwatchers - it really works....

I think Coleen has a really good attitude too, but I do agree generally re men/women's attitudes. As far as RW goes, I think he is wasting a really good opportunity - I know it is not just about food with him - I've had enough problems re food myself to understand that, but he has such a good incentive - isn't it £500 per lb to a charity of your choice - what a way to feel good about yourself AND lose weight!

This may sound really horrible but I think RW comes across as a big spoiled petulant baby. HIs mum was interviewed and said stuff along the lines of "he always was a big boy". Oh really ? So she had nothing to do with it?
He makes me feel very uncomfortable because on the one hand I feel incredibly sorry for him and on the other I just want to shake him ( while realising this would acheive nothing at all)
Completely agree there are many deeper issues going on with some of them. They do make me feel like my weight problems are minor in comparison
