Take some paracetamol and lots of fluids. If uncle sleeps you sleep. Usually only lasts for one day so nearly there. I cried after mine l felt so miserable but it soon passed.

Good to know. Just feeling very sorry for myself !

Same here! I was going to post a thread about this myself. I had a double whammy with the new Phyzer jab in one arm and the flu jab in the other. I thought I would be fine and just have a sore arm as I did last time with the Phyzer but no, it was hideous! At one point I actually felt more ill than when I had Covid and told myself I'm never having the jabs again. The good thing is it does pass in 24 hours. I was so tired and found that I slept longer than usual ..so hang on in there and you'll be fine!

Oblomov22 · 28/10/2022 06:15

I had both. Fine, so far. Might it hit me later? How many days?

picklemewalnuts · 28/10/2022 06:53

Just be careful and take things steady. I fainted after one of mine. Never fainted before.

If you feel rough, light headed, clammy, nauseous- sit down!

Drink lots of water, I feel very grim after mine too.

On the plus side, it sounds like your body is mounting a very good, powerful immune response to the vaccine, OP, so you will have good quality protection from the flu this winter, and any Covid infection you get should be mild and quickly eliminated.

I had my covid booster on Wednesday. I've been really tired and one side of my next is swollen. I feel "not quite right" but not enough to stop me going about my daily business.
I wasn't affected by my previous jabs.

Happyunhappy · 28/10/2022 22:43

Had mine today. Single dose. Had flu vac the other day. So far so good just a sore arm. Phizer too. Hoping that's all symptoms although the more you react the better your immune system is apparently.

Well I feel absolutely nothing. Which I suppose I should be grateful for, (having chosen to have flu and covid on same day), but I'm not. I expected to at least feel a bit unwell. As pp said if your immune system is good, it should show. It's a 'weakened germ', so my body should be fighting. Normally I like to think I've got a strong immune system: I'm never ill, don't catch stuff when loads are flying around and everyone else gets it, or if I do it's mild and I just get on with things. But now I'm actually a tiny bit worried. I don't think I've ever had covid. And I'm never unwell after any previous vaccine - why isn't my body fighting against it more?

It's a difficult one to answer. I think it just affects people differently. Maybe your immune system is great at fighting things off and just doesn't need the jabs..you'll never know. I'm almost constantly ill with cold bugs DS brings home from school and felt absolutely awful after the jabs. But DF never feels bad afterwards although he does get the sore arm. People have warned me not to get the covid jab and the flu jab together as it's a double whammy of feeling shite! I could have done with knowing that before having them!
