‘At risk’ of under active thyroid- anything I can do?

Hello, if anyone has any experience of this I’d be so grateful!! I had some digestive issues so I cut out gluten to see if that fixed it and it seemed to help a lot, so I asked doctors for a blood test to see if I’m celiac. I therefore had to go back to including gluten for 4 weeks (and started experiencing horrible symptoms again). The receptionist rang up today to say that I tested negative for celiac but I am at risk of developing an under active thyroid so I need to have another blood test in 6 months. I asked her if there’s anything I can do but she said the dr hadn’t written any notes. I’m 29 and hoping to try to start a family in the few years so the Internet has got me quite worried about fertility problems associated with an under active thyroid, so I’m wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and managed to not develop an under active thyroid, and what did you do to help? I am planning to go back to eating a gluten free diet as i feel much better on that, (I’m wondering if a gluten sensitivity might have caused the autoimmune response with the thyroid?) and I’ve already cut out processed foods and foods with added sugar (I used to have an extremely sweet tooth but have never been overweight), thanks so much for any advice!!
